MNhunterr
For you Midwest hunters... What do you recommend for early season clothing (Sept.-Oct.)? I am in Minnesota. I want to get scent control clothing if possible that I can wear in September and October, and then use that for layering during our November rifle season. My girlfriend is actually going to be buying a jacket/pants for my birthday in August and I want to give her suggestions. Here are some things I've been looking at: ScentBlocker Knock Out Series Scent-Lok Full Season (Is this going to be too warm for Sept-Oct)? The jacket is on sale on their website for $70 right now. Any other suggestions are more than welcome!
whitetailfreak55
I like the full season gear personally
Scbasshunter
Early Season Clothing Not sure about Minnesota, but down here in SC it will most likely be in the 90s if not worse when the season opens in Sugust. As for clothing, I wear a short or maybe long sleeve Under Armour type shirt and a pair of light camo pants and snake boots. I may not have the best scent protection technology, but as hot as it gets down here you pretty much have to wear that. I have a Scent Lok Savannah shirt that is supposed to be ok for early season but even it is too hot to wear in the early season.
dbHunterNY
still rockin Realtree Roadtrips gear and Protec XT gear from Scentblocker lasted a handful of seasons now that I think about it. Roadtrips fleece doesn't block wind like the Protec XT or newer stuff. Still been happy with them.
Maine Hntr
I also wear the Scent Lok full season gear, I find it to be perfect for early bow season and right through mid November or so.
bowhunter97
I wear like what SC basshunter wears. Thin under armor type shirts, camo pants, snake boots, a hat and maybe a face mask if it aint too hot.
Scbasshunter
Early Season Clothing Face masks are out! Haha! It's all about the paint pattern on my face.
Ravin R10 man
Go with light base layer type
WStreblo
Early Season Clothing Here in Ohio's early bow season it cools off a little after the sun sets so I use an under armor layer underneath my under armor turkey hunting camo. All light weight and I stay pretty comfortable.
