WStreblo
This year I find myself taking on the challenge of bringing a new archer into the ranks of accomplished bow hunters. I'm not a pro hunter or a person who shoots on a competitive circuit but I consider myself a successful bow hunter. Since I've agreed to take on this responsibility of passing along handed down information I hear myself guiding my young archer with the same words that were said to me years ago. It hit me hard after the zip of arrows stopped for the afternoon and I sat on my block target and fought off the tears. Sitting there reliving the building years of my own bow hunting career with the man who first put the stick and string in my hands and taught me all that I know. My message of the day for you hunters who have been after em awhile... Think back to your building years, thank the ones who guided you to where you are and never hesitate to pass on what you know. To all the new bow hunters out there I hope you value the passed down knowledge you've received, be thankful, and continue the tradition. dbHunterNY
it's important to pass it along that's for sure.
SouthGaHuntingandOutdoors
I'm pretty much self taught. I've picked up some pointers here and there, but I never had anyone to teach me the basics. This winter I will be teaching my kids how to properly shoot a bow. Granted it will be with a "toy" bow.
