swhughes81
Hey I was thinking about planting some chufa for the turkeys this spring. When should I plant it and how well does it actually work and keep turkeys? I live in eastern Indiana. Thanks!
dbHunterNY
well you want to plant it in april or may as soon as it looks like fear of frost is gone. then it takes about 100 frost free days to mature. then it lasts for months (probably following spring) if the pressure isn't hard enough and it doesn't all get scratched up. I does pretty well holding turkeys but won't do it alone. you still need good roosting sites on your land.
