Rhino
Probably didn't notice but I spent 6 days in Missouri doing chores on the farm and preseason deer hunting work. It sure was nice up there compared to here in MS. Highs only in the mid 70's there compared to the balmy mid 90's here. Spent most of each day out and about. Got the food plots chopped & sprayed. Hung some stands, scouted for other stand locations, tightened some other stands that we just loosened after the end of last season. The proven producers from last year. After a days work, watched deer from the back deck of the house with a glass of wine. Doesn't get much better than that! I had almost forgotten how many stars you can see at night out in the middle of nowhere. Can't hardly wait to return on Aug. 12th. Oh...BTW...ran the trail cams & posted some pics in the photo & video forum. I'm real happy with the results so far.

MUDRUNNER
Sounds like a week well spent. I need to get on the stick myself and do some food plot work and stand prep.
Rhino
Still have more to do but Pat's right...I enjoy it. Not just for the reaping what you sow. That's sure part of it. Getting back to nature recharges my life's batteries. The nice cool weather made it that much more enjoyable so we could stay out there all day. Hard to beat a perfect view of a beautiful sunset after a day in the field too. Bottom line is...I just simply love it. I'll try to remember to take some pics next time.
