Not the land of plenty

So you have choice of buck or doe?

Guess this state is on the other end of the extreme. Liberal limits here allow for me to take 3 does each and every day our seasons are open and I am allowed 3 bucks. I only usually kill one deer a year anymore here, some years go without but with other hunters hunting our farm someone in our family will help with putting meat in the freezer.

1 deer.... buck or doe is what you can get. not a lot that's for sure. sounds like they're trying to building the herd up. here in NY you can buy tags for 3 deer total, but throughout different seasons with different weapons. then just like Minnesota higher populated areas you can apply for an antlerless permit. report in with a doe and you can get a bonus permit, and keep filling that with a doe and having the doe get checked at a station and you'll keep getting them. only for high density, well people populated areas though.

Hmmm, I used to live in Watonwan county (somewhere around area 206) and I remember there being a ton of deer around there. You really had to watch the road at night because you would always see deer. I only gun hunted back then, but if I remember correctly everybody in our group had one tag each...some had antlered only and some had antlerless only. We would eat through one deer in about 2 months at our house.
