Adjam5
Corey(Dawg) had posted asking me to bring y'all up to date on what was going on down at the WTC. I have been working on the 9/11 Memorial and Museum for over 3 years now. Much of it was destroyed from Hurricane Sandy. Much has been repaired. Here goes I'll let the pics do the talking. This is the Freedom Tower the way it looked a few mornings ago at 6am. This is what we call the south canyon. The silvery walls on the far left is the foot print of tower 2 where it stood. On the wall way in the back is a piece of Impact steel. That is a actual beam that was struck by one of the planes that hit the WTC on 9/11. On the right. The stairwell is next to what is called the Survivor stairs. That is a staircase that was cut out from the rubble and saved because so many used it to get out of the WTC that day. This is a pile of Re bar and the claw that was used to sift through the rubble after the towers came down. This is one of the last standing pieces of steel that was left after the towers came down. Yes, it is in the shape of a cross. Quite special. There are atheists who are trying to exclude this artifact from the museum. This is the top of one of the Trident beams that supported the WTC. Just look at how big this is and the force that ripped this steel like it was aluminum foil. This was the site about 6 months ago. I work 120' below ground. Below the water fall foot prints of the old towers. This is when the space shuttle flew over the site(notice escort?) about 6 months ago also. I will try to take more pics and get y'all updated on what it will look like and where we are at with completion. You can always go to www.wtcprogress.com and www.911memorial.org for updates. Hope you guys like the pics.

The Bug House
Awesome photos, just beautiful. To clarify however, the lawsuit brought forth by American Atheists has been dismissed, the Judge ruled that is is not an endorsement of Christianity. Whats even more astonishing about that "cross" is the fact that there are grown men who think that this piece of pre-fabricated steel, used to cut construction costs and time, have some sort of supernatural, mystical significance. That being said, I feel the historical significance of this inanimate object is huge, a lot of people relate it to Mychal Judge, and I'd imagine a lot of people found some sort of peace with it. To me it represents something man made that withstood, and remained intact. I stood smack dab in the middle of the Robert Moses bridge and watched, what looked like, the whole city burn for hours ... I'm glad this symbol of perseverance hasn't been lost. Again, great photos.

Adjam5
Welcome to Realtree . Nice pics. Are you a Fireman down there? You have a pic of the lift I work in daily with the bath tub wall in the back ground. Waiting on the acorns on the plaza to drop so I could plant some of the same trees.
