Sitting all day.

I sit all day only opening day of bow and gun season. After that my area gets a lot of pressure. So then it is only morning til 10 and afternoons(3:30) til dark. Never had a issue with having to do #2 on stand. I get up early enough and have my coffee and clean out and up before heading afield.

All day sits only make since during the rut. Early season will just get you a bunch of bug bites and a dead phone battery

Ditto.

I'm a believer in conserving my season's worth of energy so I won't get burnt out. I want to have the will to make all day hunts during the rut when it matters most. During the rut the old saying "it can happen anytime" is far more likely than the early season.

As for your #2 question...simple for me. I don't stuff myself the prior evening but I do eat a good meal. Next morning I'll be up at least 1 1/2 hours before I'm going to start getting ready to hunt. That way I can relax with a cup or 2 or 3 of coffee. I have plenty of time to work up and take care of that morning move you're referring to before I get my morning shower to go hunt. I don't have a problem getting up ~4:00 to 4:15 in the morning. It would be earlier if I had to drive any distance.

BTW...that also gives me plenty of time to organize everything I'm taking to the stand for an all day sit too. I don't take too much food to the stand...just enough to satisfy my hunger pains till supper time. I do take extra water.

I sit all day most of the time if I don't change stands. I bring water and jerky. Cliff bars work well too. when you're ready to throw in the towel, tell yourself 10 more minutes. then after that 10 more minutes. usually you see something and are good for a while longer. if you're hunting pressured land don't leave at 9:30am stay at least until 11am then come back at 1pm instead of say 3pm. you want to be on stand when others are coming and going, bumping deer along the way. I've killed a lot of my deer while other hunters are coming and going.

Sitting all day.

The reason I mention it is because while putting up stands a couple weeks ago, we saw deer moving all day. My stand is by a pond and could potentially have deer come through at any time of day. Also had a pic of a buck out at 2:52pm at my cousins farm down the road from where I hunt. Just seems possible to see one at any hour if the day. I guess that's why they call it hunting.

Most of us "older " guys are in a set eating/sleeping pattern, that sets your "body" clock to do it's business on time every day...for me it's right soon after I get up most days. I'll whiz off a deer stand..never had them spook yet
you mean you don't buy one of those expensive bottles to pee in, and then carry it around with you all day? then dump it in a nice spot outside the woods like everything thing else that runs through the woods all frolic like?

I don't much anymore. I will take a real cheap bottle, like an empty gatorade bottle if I'm sitting in a blind or a shooting house though. Don't want to unzip a blind & get out for a relief break. Worse for a shooting house if your only option is to open the door & let it fly wetting down the ladder or whatever you use to climb down later. Even worse than that...could find yourself having to...as the old saying goes..."******* in the wind"! I typed in the stars...you fill in the blanks. Pun intended!!!
