Just pick up a dorado 50 pound recurve today. shot it a few times before the rain came and man is this thing fun. Hard to shoot but fun. anyone else shooting this bow or something similar?? what arrow, head and other goodies do you have. If I get good enough with it planning on shooting a bear over my dogs with it. and a few turkeys.

I didn't get that. I really looked into getting the Hoyt Buffalo recurve. I ended up getting a Bear Super Kodiak. I do know a guy that uses one though. he sites down the arrow more and put a prong rest on it but shot good with it. the hoyt traditional 2-piece quiver will work good for that bow because it's got the metal riser with mounting holes. with my 1-piece Bear recurve I've got a black two piece Selway quiver that sides onto the limbs. it works pretty good for a quiver. for arrows I shoot full length Goldtip 5575 Traditional carbon shafts with 4" fletches, Bohning blue hotmelt reheatable glue, 100gr brass inserts, 20gr screw-in (for insert), 100gr NAP Hellrazor broadheads. pretty happy with everything. ...oh yea I've got a calf hair shooting glove and a black window med over/under finger tab. both work well. the glove needs a lot of breaking in still. thinking about getting a Damascus shooting glove, that's a little thinner and requires much less break-in.

My go-to recurve is a TradTech 17" Titan aluminum riser. The limbs on it now are Samick BF Extreme mediums at 46# making a 60" bow. This is an ILF bow meaning I can shoot any limb from any manufacturer as long as it's ILF. I have 6 different sets of limbs that I can shoot on this riser, ranging from 20#-57#. I mostly shoot Easton Gamegetter 500's(2016's) but I do shoot some lightweight carbons(Easton Lightspeed 500's) off it too. I use an Alpine Soft-Loc quiver...either a 3-arrow or a 5-arrow...for hunting

The Dorado is a sweet shooting bow...glad you're having fun with it. I fletch with a helical..as much twist as I can get on it. As for the Motec's..nice heads, very sturdy and strong but they can be a little tough to get a good edge on them. Once you do though, they seem to hold it very well. I mostly shoot Magnus Stingers. They're incredibly sharp right out of the package, they fly great, and they have a lifetime warranty. This year, I'll be shooting some old Bear 130gr Super Razorhead's
