elkoholic
For anyone who ever wondered what an old/mature whitetail looks like I captured a couple on a remote trail-cam. They were a little to far away for really good pictures and the one never did get out in the open and is not easy to spot in the first picture as the focus tends to go to the one in the middle of the picture. Both of these deer are probably well over 300 lbs on the hoof and sporting 150+ inch headgear. zoomed in for a better look the other one This camera is about 15 miles from the nearest agricultural fields and about 2 miles from the nearest road. The deer in this area have no set patterns, but it is an area I have hunted and hiked quite often and this year I may spend a little more time there. wtnhunt
Old white faced buck in the first few has a sagging gut. Good luck getting one of those mature deer Dave.
Maine Hntr
yes definitely older deer and heavy on the hoof. Good luck, sounds like they'll get little pressure based on how far from any real civilization they're living.
