Update

Thought I'd give everyone a little update on my life! I haven't been around near as much as I used to be or would like to be, mainly because of my new job I got back in the beginning of April. Some of you know I hung the wrenches up after 8 years of working as a technician at a GM dealer. Left for multiple reasons and I must say, best move I've ever made. Actually wish I would have done it earlier but hey, no regrets and I'm glad I built the knowledge I did.

I moved into the recreational side of the business, into the parts department here Boats, Snowmobiles, ATV, PWC in Eganville & Ottawa This place is awesome. Actually ranked 17th in North America in the Top 100 Boaters Association, and I believe 6th in Canada. Now the grand opening of the Kingston, ON location is opening this weekend, on the water showroom and the whole bit. I am staying in the Ottawa location for now. After seeing how this place is run, how employees and customers are treated and some of the amazing products that come through the door I made the move to be a technician. Start in the shop on Monday full time. Pay is going to be very good. Job security is there, there's room to grow and room to move around within the company which is awesome.

Training process will begin right away. I will be doing certification courses for BRP, Mercury, Evinrude, Volvo Penta, Centurion and PCM Marine Engines. Both online and hands on, which a lot of them I have to travel in both Canada and the USA.

Some of these boats we sell and service are HUGE, we just actually sold a Regal 46' Sport Coupe with the twin D6 Volvo Penta diesel engines with the IPS drives, talk about a machine. Lots of speed boats with the twin big blocks anywhere between 27 and 40' (Baja, Donzi etc). Centurion boats are getting very popular up here with the wakesurfing. We have quite a few customers which include a few of the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens NHL players. Get to do on the water testing and service calls. Lots of new stuff I've never done before. Really looking forward to it. Home » PCM <--- :tt1:
