SouthGaHuntingandOutdoors
Will it ever stop? I don't want to sound ungrateful, but damn. I appreciate the fall weather in August, I even appreciate the fact we are no longer in a drought, I'm just tired of being waterlogged! Anyone else in the Southeast tired of it ? whitetailfreak55
We are in a drought. It'd be nice to have a few inches of rain
hoytshooter09
Been real cool and lots of rain here in Missouri but looks like the heat is building back in and all sun for at least the next week
SouthGaHuntingandOutdoors
We are in a drought. It'd be nice to have a few inches of rain I wish I could send you a few your way. Here in Ga it's getting to look like Seattle when I look at the forecast. It's been cool and wet here for a few days. Summer is going to visit for a few days, then it looks like rain and cooler than normal weather. It's killing my ability to do any work on the property, there's only so much you can do in swamp like conditions!!!

wtnhunt
Above average rainfall here this summer. Farmers should have good crop production if they can get it out. Last time I remember getting this much rain in the summer was after we broke ground on our house in the summer of 2009. I am liking the temps we are getting this August, cannot recall a summer where we had about a week of temps getting in the upper 50's to low 60's overnight and highs only in the 70's to mid 80's. Global warming, I suppose has to be to blame. :turned:
gzilla45
I wish we we're having the same problem. I can't recall the last time it rained and there's nothing in the forecast. Of course this drought has to come the first time I plant a food plot too.
Jeramie
We just came out of 3 years of HARD, HARD drought. Hay last year was $85 - $100 for a 1000lb round bale. We have had incredibly cool temps and tons of rain this year. You wont hear me complaining... Oh, and Hay is down to $35 - $45 a bale. MNhunterr
It sure has been an unusual year for rain here in Minnesota. Flooding this spring resulted in many farmers not being able to plant their fields... Besides the VERY occational thunderstorm, we havent been able to buy a drop of rain. Corn is starting to dry up. MNhunterr
Benton County, Minnesota officially enters "Severe Drought Status" as of 9/5/2013. 6 inches below normal rainfall since July, only .83 inches of rain in August, and 0 rain through 9/5/2013. Looks like the corn will be coming out shortly... Dont even get me started on the beans, they havent even had time to develop their pods, who knows if they will even bloom now. Dear lord, PLEASE SEND US SOME RAIN SOON!!
wtnhunt
We were way ahead on rainfall, even with last month being over an inch short we were still more than 10 inches above average. It had been dry the past few weeks prior to the rain we got over the weekend, over 2 inches in a couple hours. Supposed to go back to being dry, I planted peas yesterday, ground was still damp, hope we get some pop up showers.
The Bug House
RAIN!!! Still been plenty wet here. Frost and Freeze warnings posted for tonight! High 20's - Low 30's across the region in the forecast.
Tominator
We were way too wet for June and July; killed most of my garden and most of one section of my lawn. Now we haven't had sizable rain for a few weeks. Typical Ohio I guess.
SouthGaHuntingandOutdoors
We've had a few dry days as of late, kinda liking the dry weather. Of course the heat is back, but from everything I've read, including the Farmer's Almanac it's going to get wet and cool again. I tend to listen when the Farmer's Almanac says something. They are usually right!
Dawg
We're on the verge of a burn ban in Jasper County. Several counties in Texas are under and have been under a burn ban for quite a while. I'd love to get a slow soaking rain over the next two weeks.
