MNhunterr
Anyone ever try this stuff? Seems fishy to me - But from what I have read the people who have bought and tried it swear that it works. The negative reviews are coming from the skeptics (Me being one of them for now). So, have any of you ever tried it personally or know of anyone that has tried it/had success with it? Seems like the "what will they come up with next" product for me now. dbHunterNY
I've used the deodorant applicated stuff. not the lit smoke sticks. smells like a deer's crotch to be honest. I've used it. still have some left in a Ziploc bag. it won't keep a deer from running if it smells you with poor scent control measures taken, but it's a great cover scent for keeping there sixth sense at bay. i'm a minimalist when it comes to scent... even attractant stuff. haven't had a bad experience with it to say it doesn't work. had multiple deer smell it on the ground and then lay down next to it. can't say it's the sole contributing factor for success but I definitely haven't found that it hurts my success at all. elkoholic
Will it "calm" them if they are in your scent stream? I doubt it. Deer get excited if you invade their space no matter how "calming" the surrounding area smells. Waste of money.
MNhunterr
If you read the reviews on a variety of different sites people swear it actually does calm the deer. I've read numerous reviews to rub the stick on your boots/surround trees and more times than not the deer will follow the scent trail and actually lick the trees it has been placed on. Also read that the deer would sometimes bed down in the surrounding area even when the hunter wasn't hunting in a bedding or transitional area. I got some of this stuff as a birthday gift last Friday and plan to use it this archery season. I guess we will see first hand if it works or not. I won't be convinced until I try it and it works for me - Glad I didnt have to spend the $10-20 or whatever it is on the stuff.
FireStation46
Never tried it. Do not have the urge to try. :cowboy:
