wtnhunt
Tuesday morning was going to fill up our car, but did not. About 5 hours later when I rolled through prices were up 14 cents. With the crap with Syria going on sure hope this does not mean we are back on the way to $4 a gallon again.
Rhino
The guru's are saying right after a US strike, oil will probably spike to $120/barrel. Who knows after that...depends on what others do after the probable strike by the US occurs. Some guru's predict crude oil could spike up to $150/barrel if it gets messy after a US strike. It made it up to ~$110/barrel yesterday on the news of a probably strike. Started climbing before that. What I'm thinking about doing to offset an upward spike in crude oil prices after a US strike is to short the price of crude oil through a securities investment trade. Under the circumstances, that high of a crude oil price spike they're predicting isn't sustainable. The old theory of what goes up...must come down. If I'm right, profits from that trade would more than offset any increase in my gasoline purchases. Yea, I'd be gambling the price of crude oil normalizes back to a price in the $90's/barrel after the Syria mess blows over.

The Bug House
Wow! We've slowly creeped back up to ~$3.75 around here. Lowest I saw this summer was in NH at $3.45.
Shaun_300
Yeah it's been expensive here too all summer. Haven't seen it under $1.20/liter in a long time, usually hovering ~$1.30/liter which is $4.90/gal for regular. I burn either 91 or 93 octane in my truck and it's usually 15 cents/liter more.
