Tetro
Rifle season was a bust for me. Out of the nine guys at camp we ended up with 1 8 pt buck and a doe. Two others does does were seen and all I saw saw were turkeys and rabitts lol. Onto to muzzleloader in the first week in december.

Rhino
Back from MO to rest up before the next haul. Didn't go my way for the 13 days I was in the woods. Needless to say, I was worn out at the end. 2 days before the gun season opened on 11/14 I had a big mature 10 point heading my way toward a doe just N of me. Then she started blowing at something to the N & he trotted off to the NW. Ranged him at 68 yards where he stopped. Needless to say...I was bummed out. During the gun season I had a mature buck come in with a doe at ~50 yards but all except 2 tines were broken off. At one time he had 6 on his left side & 5 of those were broken off at his main beam. Only tine left was a 2" G5. His left beam was broken off at the G3 point & he only had a brow tine left on that beam. The last afternoon I hunted I saw 10 bucks but the best was a big mature 8 point at ~400 yards in a cut corn field. Way to far to risk a shot with a high cross wind, even with my 30-378 Wby Mag. The rest of the time during the gun season I saw young bucks. Heading back on Dec. 8th for another round of bowhuning. Fingers crossed to upgrade with a mature buck then. Ravin R10 man
Rhino....wow, with all the nice bucks on cam, thought for sure you'd dump something by now...that's why it's called hunting..not killing

Rhino
Congrats to all my teammates that recently added more points. WTG!!! BTW Martin...the main frame 12 point I was after was killed by our eastern neighbor on opening morning of the gun season. He had to store it in our cooler due to warm weather conditions. I congratulated him but I have to admit I was a little sick having so many trail cam pics of him and never saw him. As it turned out he had more pics than we had...including velvet pics. That buck probably spent more time on their place than ours. I didn't put a tape on him but it was easy to see he was at least in the upper 160's. That's hunting! Ravin R10 man
Rhino..you need to shoot an 18 pt buck just to tie us up!!..NO pressure!!...lol
Rhino
Rhino..you need to shoot an 18 pt buck just to tie us up!!..NO pressure!!...lol Big order to fill with no bucks I'm aware of left with more than 11 points...that is if they haven't broken any off. Who knows what newcomers will show up for the late season though. I'll take whatever mature buck steps up 1st then go for the elusive 19 point buck. Rhino
Got back from MO Saturday evening. All I saw in 9 days of hunting was very young bucks & lots of does & fawns. Took another doe out. I'm done hunting in MO for the rest of this season. May get out & try hunting some in MS if I get an invite from friends. For my teammates still hunting...good luck. To all of my teammates...Merry Christmas!!!
Ravin R10 man
Today is the end of Wis late bow. -20 or more I never sat one day this year. bucks are losing antlers or have lost them. Deer are on fields digging for left over grain etc. and hitting alfalfa hard. Im leaving my last doe tag unfilled. Good luck to any of our team that is hunting.
