wax for sight screws

How many of you all use bow string wax on the threads of your sight screws to keep them from getting lose?

I've never used it on my sight but use it on the threads of my field points and broad heads to keep them from coming loose.

on some I've used the blue Loctite. most of the time I don't though. I have used wax on the head of the bolts/screws to keep water out and prevent rust. same as at the ends of the axles. that's only in nasty weather though.

...now that I think about it I have put wax on field points to keep them from loosening up.

Never have. Never thought about it. I might try that. I have a habit of always touching and tightening the broadheads while in a tree stand, anyway. Keeps my mind occupied.

I tried the wax and so far I've shot several days and the sights are in the same place. It's better than it was that's for sure.

Never used bow string wax but blue Loc'tite int he stick form. It doesn't seize up like red lock tight but holds just as strong and easily breaks free if needed for adjustments. of course, string wax is cheaper.
