dogdoc
You should be fine. might not get quite as much forage but that all depends on when the wheat goes into winter dormancy.
LETMGROW
I guess you will get what you get. Tomorrow would be even worse. I've planted before well after I really should have and had good and bad luck. That is the limiting factor now. Just plain luck. We could have a hard frost any night now or it could hold off for three or four weeks. I hope it works out for you. I'll know about the same time as you. smha6784
Hope its not to late Man we must be over seeding we put 40lbs of wheat, 40lbs of rye, and 50lbs of oats per acre. We also throw a small amount of winter peas, clover, and turnips just because. The big problem we have are the birds eating all of our seed before the first rain. Hope your plots turn out good Muff! Yep, especially if you have crows or turkeys around. And they will continue to hammer them even after a rain and after your seed germinates, they will eat the sprouts. I just recently planted about roughly 1/6th of an acre and I put in 9 lbs of peas and about 15 lbs of wheat, the peas were the primary seed I was planting, wheat was just a cover/filler. dogdoc
I usually put about 75# per acre but always add a brassica mix in also. Seems to work out good. If i was adding oats, which usually die off at the first good freeze, I will jump it up to 75# of wheat/rye and 25# oats plus the brassica

wtnhunt
plus the dang Turkeys have found it already.....hope it rains good and hard tonight so it beats the new seed in. Hate to hear that Joe. Hope your plot takes off before they destroy it. A flock of 25-30 birds can decimate an establishing plot.
