smha6784
Went to the camp Sunday, boy was it great to be in the woods!!!!! With all that's been going on lately it's hard to find time. I decided to bring my son with me ( he'll be 3 next weekend ) and let him enjoy it too. So early morn my dad met me at the house we loaded up and off we went. We set two new stands, filled feeders, hung feeders, set cameras, and checked out the property(we had 3 tornados hit us last year). I put out some Big &J ( I think it was the long range attractant), and Record Rack pellets so im anxious to see how that works! It was a good day but I was soo busy watching my son in the woods to be sure he was safe I stepped right on a copper head!!!! In a split second I dropped my stuff scooped up Jr and started blasting with the kel-tec. After the commotion my dad says "well did he get ya stupid?" I just stood there.... "Uh idk don't think so" so his response " then quit playing around and come help me". ( no bite) so later in the day, trying to hurry now running outta daylight, we hear ghost noises and commotion, jr got into the rice bran and covered himself lol we couldn't help but laugh he was covered!!!!! Didn't get a pic wish I woulda. It was fun, ill be back up there in a few weeks to run cameras and possibly change course of action. Work takes a back seat come oct 15 !!!! Jr on Paw-paws bike, (the other pic is for WStreblo) hahaha

wtnhunt
Copperheads around here usually strike pretty quick, especially this time of the year, yeah probably pretty lucky. Looks like your boy is ready, our kids all loved riding the 4 wheelers and tractors. Our son is 2, been a little upset about the 4 wheeler not running. Deer see a man toting a bowtech they just laugh, deer see a man toting a Hoyt, well they just go and climb in the back of the truck themselves.
