bozz
LEAF RIVER DIGITAL CAM Have you check out the new Leaf River digital cam ? I have one and really like it....lot less money with more features than the ones above....my model comes with a LCD picture viewing screen....very nice. The Leaf is getting rave reviews here......the cams above look nice...just don't know much about them......the homebrewers around here can tell ya if the cams above are built right and worth the $$$. Bond
Re: Looking to buy new digital - help with 3 choic I looked at the Leaf River, it's too slow for me - trigger time is 3-5 seconds. THe Trailspy takes good pictures in the daytime but it is slow also, I'm having problems with flash bleed and poor flash range. I thought about those cams for a while but I've decided to build my own with a P41 - I had to give in to peer pressure after everything I read at Jesses's. My oldest 35mm cam broke after 5 years so that's what made me want another digital.
bowhtr1
Re: Looking to buy new digital - help with 3 choic That's the right choice Bond build your own. For the price of the others you can build almost two homebrews that would be just as good or better. For the one you have with flash bleed you should be able to seal it better and maybe get a flash enhancer to help the flash range out. The guys at Jessies and Hags will help you through any problems with the new one. Good luck.
bozz
Re: Looking to buy new digital - help with 3 choic 3 seconds is about on par with digitals.....don't think you can expect much more....a couple of seconds wouldn't mean much really if you set the cam back and point it right.....I might miss a chase scene but most everybody would if the cam's too close.....I know I can catch a trolling scene with my Leaf.
