philray
Couldn't get the Yahoo link to work so I just copied and pasted. Buck Fever is a sickness that sweeps through the country each fall and winter. Buck Fever has been known to cause school and work absences, marital strife, and general lack of productivity. In its extreme form, buck fever may cause divorce, termination of employment, and other minor difficulties. This article will help those suffering from buck fever and those with a love one afflicted with this often scoffed at illness. The history of the buck fever illness dates back to the first man who jumped out the tree and stood upright. Upon realizing that he no longer had to depend on the nuts growing in the tree he decided to find some real food. He had came into possession of some steak sauce and needed to find something to put it on. When a whitetail deer wandered by he reckoned that steaks could be procured from this animal. His mouth began to water and heart began to pound, thus the first case of Buck Fever. Buck fever is a peculiar ailment as it actually takes two distinct forms caused by the distinct microbe. The microbe that causes buck fever is known to the scientific community as kneedtoo huntis. The microbe causes both the Type I buck fever and the Type II. Type I buck fever often manifests itself as an overwhelming desire to go deer hunting. Specific symptoms may include fabricating doctor excuses from work and school, wearing camouflage, and sneaking out the house in the early morning hours. Type II buck fever often manifests itself as an uncontrollable shaking or inability to move when holding a gun or bow in front of a large buck. Loved ones of those suffering from buck fever may take the following steps to ease the pain. Get a second job so that the poor hunter can hunt more often. Pack sandwiches and cookies into a small paper bag for the hunter when leaving early in the morning. Be quiet at night so that the hunter suffering from buck fever can sleep. While modern science has found no exact cure for Buck Fever, the following are believed to make the illness less severe. The hunter should buy a new gun each year. The hunter should be allowed to hunt whenever legal regardless of petty social functions such as holidays, weddings, and funerals. Buck Fever is not an illness to take lightly. Once you have self diagnosed yourself with Buck Fever, your only choice is to hunt often and hunt long. And don't worry, we have all got it!
