HunteratHeart
Yes I said it 1984!!! That is the bow I will be slaying deer with this year! Thanks to wstreblo for the shooting advice I'm now shooting baseball size groups at 30 yards.... It's not the bow is the hunter. I will be catching a deer shot with the bow on camera this year and put it on YouTube so be checking "Hunters At Heart" and see how Bear does it from 1984... Attached is a picture of the deer slayer itself! Also this is the bow my grandpa killed deer with and I'm using same arrows and broad heads he used back in the day. pointing_dogs_rule
I shot a BEAR "Hunter" way back then. I bet most of you guys never new that the let-off back then was 35%. Try holding that back for any length of time. good luck to all the dog

smha6784
1984 pronghorn hunter BEAR be sure all is in good working order, no slits or cracks in limbs, no fraying on strings. Nothing is wrong with shooting an older bow, I did for a few years. But make sure it doesn't blow up in your hand !! I imagine it sat for a while, check strings, it's possible they could be dry rot under servings. Also check your arrows. Like You said it's not the bow it's the hunter, good luck and safe hunting
jbeck
Heck I took 7 deer with a fork lightning, Never had a deer complain about the arrow not going fast enough. Right now I am using modern technology of a 10 year old Mathews Q-2 still no complaints from the deer.

So I'm very new to bow hunting but I've come a loooooooooonnnng way. Hoping In the morning to see something nice! It rained all day today so moving in the am is a must for these deer to be able to feed. I will be sure to post a kill from my bear.
