Tominator
Who's headed out with the muzzleloader this weekend?
WHISKEYSWAMP
I'll be out... hoping to drop a couple does this weekend. I'm sure the 200 inch buck will step out as well and I won't be able to do anything about it.
JBUCK
I will be out. I wasn't really fond of the idea but we need to try new things. I am hoping it will stir things up a bit.

You could take the bow, but if you do, you won't see anything. I will be out. I wasn't really fond of the idea but we need to try new things. I am hoping it will stir things up a bit. I agree. Should be interesting. According to the email I got from the DNR one of the reasons they are doing this is to reduce the does which will increase the competition for breeding rights. Sounds good in theory. We'll see. Either way, good luck to everyone!

Ohiobucks
I'm sitting this weekend out. It's doe only, regardless of what you're hunting with...no thanks. Taking the family to Kings Island on Sunday.
Tominator
Got out Saturday with a couple of buddies. We heard a grand total of 3 shots. The last one I heard was at 9:30. Pretty sure the first 2 were muzzleloaders, but I don't know about the 3rd. I didn't hear any shots during the afternoon hunt, didn't see any hunter orange driving around Sunday either. I'd like to see the numbers of deer tagged this weekend. I would guess it's less than what the DNR wanted. I still say Ohio has overharvested in the last few years. I haven't hunted much, but when I have, the overall numbers I've seen are down.
WHISKEYSWAMP
Heard one shot Saturday and didn't see many people out, but the warm weather probably didn't help. I spent most of the day moving stands and scouting. I hunted a little yesterday and took a doe last night, only shot I heard all day. The meat processor I take mine to took 16 in over the weekend.
