Face Painting

Most of the time I paint my face, even though my dad makes fun of me for it. I can't wearing a face mask, you ever tried to spit with one of those things on? lol But I hate itching my face and getting my finger covered in paint. Usually when it starts getting cold I'll switch to the mask though.

It's one of those each to their own things. I don't care for face paint at all. Too much trouble and too messy. Also with a mask it's easier to keep my face warmer in cold weather. My closest hunting buddy always uses face paint. Like Todd, he doesn't like anything covering his face. He hits the shower after he hunts to wash off the paint.

Agree with Al. Never tried face paint, but use a mask when I think I need it, mainly turkey and coyote hunting and with deer when I am not in great cover. See plenty of women and men on videos taking mature bucks in bow range with what would appear to be shiny skin with nothing breaking up there face at all. Keep a beard here which I think helps some.

I'm with Todd except I don't wear paint. I've had deer close and not been busted. however, I think it helps sure. I mean the skin on your face stands out just like your hand if you don't wear gloves. it's not that messy. field wipes take it off well enough too, if not my wife's makeup remover pads. I guess it's just not worth it to me at this point. I do wear a mesh face mask with open top. easy to pull up and down without removing a hat.
