scottbird
a few years ago i had a bad accident and suffered a bad shoulder injury. it left me unable to shoot anymore. well i came up to pa to help my wifes family as her mother has cancer. my brotherinlaw whom i only known for three months came over today with a shoulder brace and pad for shootin large calibers. we went straight to the gun shop and i bought a winchester 670 30-06, it shoots great and with the pad i barely even feel it. first time hunting in seven years, am so excited. thanks a lot bro. redkneck
That's great! Also with reduced loads you can lessen the recoil even more if you need to in the future. Welcome to the forums!

scottbird
well i am trading the 30-06 for a 243, even with the shoulder pad it is too much, pulled my shoulder out today after the third shot. going to get a cva hunter rifle in 243 or 7mm-08. I will hunt this year even if all I can shoot is a camera.thanks for all your support.
