stevebeilgard
i thought all the deer ruts were around thanksgiving nation wide. i know nature wants the young born at the best time to get nutricious new green sprouts.
wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums Roger. Think it will really depend, from what I have read the rut in Texas varies quite bit due to the size of the state. The further northeast probably the earlier. Rut here is typically around the third to forth week of November.
3whunt
Rut in Southeastern Oklahoma is around 10-15 of November. Depending on how far south of the border you are, should be perfect for the opener this weekend. Big boys should begin to be on their feet over the next week or so. The further South you are, the later in the year.
