TagSandwiches
Ok, so I'm a total noob and went hunting yesterday. I left super early and went to Sterling forest State Park in tuxedo NY. I saw nothing. For my next trip I earthed the area and saw a nice small pond to the east of sterling lake towards the northern portion of the lake. I just need your opinion. I was in the trees. I saw some open areas, sat and waited but no deer. No poop, no rubs (saw some that looked sort of like rubs) saw what I thought were bedding areas, but I googled beds and they didn't look like that (I know I'm a nerd, I'm learning to hunt with google). So lots of trees, some open areas but small ones. No animals,no rabbits. No nothing. I saw what may have been bear poop but it was old. Ifyou guys would be so kind to look at the earth Bird's eye view you will see the area I'm thinking of to the north east of the lake there is a pond (water source) and power lines running across the top of the pond. I hear power line are good. Nice clear open area with a pond and a lake not far from there. Also im spotting and stalking since I want to learn how to hunt the hard way first. Also I don't want to spend money on a tree stand, that too.
