Hunt or be Hunted
I brought a bow from a guy a week or so ago. And it he gave me a bow case with it. He lives in a house with about 4 or 5 cats and 3 dogs. And they don't like going to the bathroom where they should. So the smell on this bow case is awful. It's a cloth bow case. How can I get the smell off of it? I can't even bring it in the house it smells so bad.
wtnhunt
I would try baking soda. Then spray it down with scent away.
Trevor
If it's a cloth case I would wash it with the same stuff you wash your hunting clothes.

RangerClay
Wash it then hang it in the shed or garage till spring. It will help but I'll bet a year from now if it ever gets wet, you will smell the cat pee. Edited November 1, 2013 by RangerClay
redkneck
Trash it, cloth cases are useless anyway. Just my experience, I want some protection when I put my bow in a case, otherwise what good is it?
stevebeilgard
if you must save that case, get a big bottle of lemon juice and wet the case down thoroghly. after a while, put the case in the washing machine. it will come out fine. just make sure to soak the case until it's dripping wet. this is the same thing you do when your dog comes home smelling like a skunk. well, not the washing machine part... lol i'd buy a new case. Adjam5
I have used Atsko Sport Wash for the most foul smelling things I have needed to clean and it worked perfectly. It works on the proteins that cause the smell. Remember smell is from dead bacteria. But if that don't work...go for the 40 bucks and buy a new case.
