bbarcheryhunter
Well friends I killed only my second buck with a bow .. Killed a lot of doe but the buck I just couldn't kill...had a lot of misses And a few hits..it just seems I got a little fired up and forgot to calm myself down Befor I shot ..so sat morn found me in my tree again And I wasn't seeing a tail and couldn't figure that out because of the rut but all of a sudden i catch movement and wow!! There was a buck Sixty yards on my drag line I put down...he came in to about 40 yards and I didn't grunt or anything because he was coming right in ...well all of a sudden he comes off the line and heads north ...oh no ...so I grunted and he paid no attention to that...and whoops I went for my doe in heat can and it's not where I put it usely so he is walking away and im there quick looking for the can ...well by then he is prob 70 yards away and yes I found it .soon I grab it and by then I seen he is making a scrape so I watch a few seconds then I tip the can...well that stops him and he looks my way...ok I have his attention...so I tip it again and that does it...he come straight for my tree ... I keep telling myself to calm down ...calm down !!!so he gets to about 20 yards and goes behind a tree and I draw...keeps coming and at 15 yards I stop him and bury the pin...well with me stopping him I guess he was on high alert became on the shot he swerved to his left and it put my hit high and got his spine...dropped him !!but the bad thing is I had to put another shot in him to finish him :-( I thanked the lord for another blessing and meat in the freezer!!!now I get to help my hunting buddies on the first day of rifle and b there dog !!!
