gzilla45
Hey XT....I know your from way up north so you might be able to offer some help. My dad and I are looking at heading up to Chequamegon Bay to do some ice fishing this winter. We are a little leery of fishing the big water though. I would want to target perch and walleye so getting out into the deep water wouldn't be necessary. Would you think it is worth paying for a guide to show us around? We have all the gear so that isn't something we would need. I'm trying to justify paying a few hundred bucks for a guy to show us around versus just trying it out ourselves. Hey Zilla, I great place to check out conditions is iceshanty.com. Go to the forums and then the Wisconsin page.
Ravin R10 man
I'd go with a half day guide, just to find where you should be, then go out by yourself. There are channels that you do not want to be crossing. here is a link to a couple top guides; http://www.jeffevansfishing.com/rates-packages/ice-fishing-rates-trips/
gzilla45
Thanks XT. We are going to go to Green Bay for white fish this year but will look to go to that part of the state next year. I'll look that guide up for when we go.
