wtnhunt
Pretty nasty day all in all here yesterday afternoon, had 8 total watches and warnings issued for our area, some flood warnings still in effect. Hit with 70+ mph winds and rain coming down in all directions. Feels like spring out there this morning, BUT no doubt that will change in a few hours. LETMGROW
Sunday AM 8:30 ET. We had an ice storm last night leaving everything here with a 1/4" coating of ice. I feel fortunate though as just north of here they are dealing with well over 1" of ice. The police and fire scanner is busy with reports of trees, poles and wires down. Many homes are without power. A no unnecessary travel advisory is in effect. Roads are ice covered and in some places impassable. Visibility is less than 1/4 mile due to heavy fog. The threat of freezing rain remains throughout the day. With no place to go I plan on staying put right here at home. Lynn

wtnhunt
A no unnecessary travel advisory is in effect. Roads are ice covered and in some places impassable. Some folks up north joke about things being shut down in these parts when we get hit with ice. I would take snow over ice any day. Hope everyone stays safe.
