colorado bob
Tim-------When is the Kansas turkey hunt? I need to put in for vacation time @ the 1st of the year.
Rhino
Bob...As I understand it...we show up on April 10th and hunt the 11th through the 13th. I'll be there itching to put some KS gobblers down. Not sure if you paid for a 1 or 2 bird hunt or how you planned to travel working that into your vacation schedule. Here's a link to Tim's original thread about the hunt. http://forums.realtree.com/showthread.php?t=111677&highlight=Kansas+Turkey+Hunt Edited December 27, 2013 by Rhino

Rhino
BTW...went on the KS web site to get my license & tags out of the way, then realized I need to know what unit we were hunting. Called Adam & we hunt in Unit 6. Went through the NR license & tag purchase process & found out the only option to choose for hunting units included units 1, 2, 3, 5, & 6 so our KS turkey tags are good for every unit except unit 4 that has a draw. Oh well...live & learn. Looking forward to seeing y'all there & share turkey tales. Edited January 14, 2014 by Rhino
colorado bob
I need to do that also. Any word on how the winter has been there----did they lose any birds cause of that cold spell?
Rhino
Adam didn't say and I didn't think to ask. I doubt it did much, if any damage at all to the birds in SE Kansas.
stevebeilgard
i doubt the cold hurt the turkeys. heavy snow will, but they are tough birds
