Zizzer59
I'm looking for a cheaper hd camera to start filming my hunts but I know nothing about them. I don't want a gopro or a stabilizer camera due to shaky picture. I found a JVC Enviro on Craigslist for a hundred bucks, would that be any good? wtnhunt
Like my Sony, mini dvs were the way to go when i bought it, not sure about now. If I were buying another would likely be a Sony.
dbHunterNY
Don't know much about JVC. I've got a Sony Handicam. They're more money though if you drop down to a Sony HDR and Cannon Vixia HF R400 I'd say either is plenty fine. You should play with them in the store to find out which one you like better. If you can find a cheap digital SLR camera that does HD video that will work too. Keep in mind auto focus sometimes is hard to work with filming through cover. you may need to use manual focus through the touch screen or zoom in and back out (which doesn't help footage). when you play think about how you'd use it in the stand. Zizzer59
I think I'm gonna go with a cheaper one for now so I can get used to one instead of getting a high dollar one and end up messing it up. I found a cheap used Panasonic, is Panasonic a legit brand?
wtnhunt
Panasonic has some decent electronics, probably could research the model number. If you are gonna be hunting from a stand be sure to get a good arm.
