Jeramie
Yep.... not as cold here but cold enough, we are at 4 with a -16 wind chill. We are running at around 15 mph north winds.
Rhino
Yep...y'all in in the arctic deep freeze. The cold finally hit here. Yesterday morning & midday I could go outside with shorts & a T shirt. About 3:00 the front started moving through. This morning it's 19 with the wind chill at 5. Supposed to get down to 13 tonight. Still, a lot better than what y'all are dealing with N of the Mason Dixon.
wtnhunt
Not as bad here but plenty cold enough. Supposed to get to a high of 8 today, was 9 when i got up at 4 this morning, so temps not going to go up any. Wind chills supposed to be negative double digits here all day. Bad enough they closed schools, guess the wind chills too much to have kids standing at bus stops.
PotashRLS
Sustained -35F windchill is the general rule to close school around here. Schools are closed today with chills at -50F with winds at 25mph gusting to 30mph. Likely colder up by Martin pending the wind.

Jeramie
yup, I walked from the barn to the house INTO the wind..almost froze my cheeks!! My face got cold too...lol Yep, schools are closed here too. We had a front come through on Saturday. It was 45 until dark and then it rained, froze, and snowed. We went from 45 to ice and snow on the ground with a temperature drop of around 25 degrees in less than 12 hours. Nothing like you guys up north though. Its cold but we havent been that cold in several years.

Too cold to walk the 1/4 mile hike and no way i am riding the 4 wheeler in this wind. Been driving the truck. Got to put hay out tomorrow, wish my tractor had a cab. Ravin R10 man
-22 right now. Thankfully I have a job that allows me to work from home on miserable days like this. yup best place to be Is at home in this stuff.. we don't run logging or farm equipment in this stuff, so I call in or text to check on both,... then pour more coffe and wait for warmer weather, which is coming this weekend, meanwhile doing TAX Prep work, and am getting ready for our LOTW ice fishing trip. MUDRUNNER
The high here yesterday was -5. We did get about 12" of snow on Sunday too, but most of it is in drifts since we had 30+ mph winds. I don't mind it as much as most folks around here. It's supposed to warm up a little every day this week, and be almost 50 by Sunday.
wtnhunt
Up to 12 here now, was hoping it would warm up a bit more before i get on the tractor. Thought it was supposed to get in the 20's today, dunno that it is going to make it.
Tominator
Probably around -10 last night. Wind chills in the -30's have closed school for me past 2 days. Had a pipe and bathtub trap freeze yesterday. Luckily it was in the garage and easy to access. Hair dryer and some well placed insulation did the trick, but now I know my first summer project. gzilla45
Looks to be 33 on Saturday so I'll be spending the heat wave out on the ice. Hopefully the fish cooperate!
Strut10
10 or 11 below here last night. Think the high got up to 1 degree today with a good brisk (25-30mph) breeze. It's been way more foul here than that. Folks sorta blew it out of proportion. But I guess the weatherman has to justify his job every once in a while. The astounding thing was the 59 degree temperature drop in 24 hours !!! That's pretty much just nuts !!

Ravin R10 man
warm up here, but no sun...freezing rain came thru, heard of one rollover... but looks like it is way worse as you head to East today
Rhino
58 & sunny with no wind here this morning. If it wasn't so wet from all the rain we had last night it'd be a good day to play golf.
