What NY's governor thinks of us

the sad fact is, all of the democrats nationwide project these very thoughts. they are liberals, aka progressives, socialists, communists, marxists. just read the marx doctrine and you will see the face of the now democrat party. the goverment runs our lives. there is a working class and a ruling class, and only they will decide who is which. it's literally happening right now, before our very eyes, with obamacare. and, the results are predictable.

so, it's not new york. it's america itself just starting in new york. the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. this is bite 1.

What is the prince gonna do when the hard working tax paying citizens of this state flee?

Where will they get their money from? I hate to say this...but the lunatics have taken control of the asylum.

How many laws have been changed or reversed? The Safe act is here to stay. Make plans. Unless NY from the Catskills on up can secede...The down staters will control the state and the laws. The NYC mayor is on board with the opinion of the Prince.

Lets be thankful that NYC state don't have an exit tax like NJ does. They have to pay 3% of the sale value after to the state after they sell their home and move out of the state. Use that saved money to buy ammo or land.

Joe...How many laws of this magnitude do you know of, that have been changed? ZERO.

The Gov appoints Judges that will rule and doesn't even need the public input when laws like this were made. Look at how this act was passed.

Look at how long it is dragging on and look at the tid bits of change that came along with recent rulings. LEO's are exempted and now you can have a muzzle break. Whoop de dang doo. Don't get me wrong...I would love for the law to change. But if history has taught us anything...They never go back on laws like this. NYS is blue as blue can be as far as politicians go. Sad truth...down state makes decisions for the rest of the state. Something very wrong with that. I have written my letters and gone to many protests in NYS even sent $ to the NRA-ILA to do my share. But yes...I do not think it will change in any great form. JMHO.

I hope Joe is right but I'm not holding my breath. we need to vote Cuomo, Skelos, and others that had a hand in pushing it through. I didn't know the law was so wrong and I made a mistake voting for it doesn't count either for anyone in our senate or assembly! If you didn't get shown it for more than minutes before the vote and didn't know what it was then why the fudge did you vote anyway without reading any of it?! Our US Senators suck too. Shumer acknowledges there is a 2nd amendment but will still take away your guns given the chance. Gillibrand is a two faced witch that lied and put up a front to get NRA endorsement to get elected and out of this very county that bleeds Pro-Gun. I had the inside scoop for that whole show. Now she votes FOR every gun control measure out there! Heck she even openly admitted when interviewed that "they all" knew Obama lies about Obama-care but have and are willing to still standby it. If you live in NY and don't vote to get them packin' you might as well club a puppy and send yourself to prison because your failure to vote like an American citizen will be the bane of any rights you've got left.

There is no doubt the most powerful tool we have in our kit is our vote. Yes, our one single little vote. Added up though we can over come this wave of idiots and run them out of town. Everyone needs to talk with family and friends and get them to the polls this November.

I realize we aren't voting for governor this year but we do have many legislators who did support the governor when the Safe Act was passed. We need to oust them first. Then we need to find and support a viable candidate to defeat Cuomo. This is going to be difficult in as much as Cuomo already has a warchest of 34 million dollars tucked away for his re-election campaign.

Anyone running for any office this year needs to know we aren't going to put up with Cuomo style politics and we want the Safe Act repealed. Then we can go after Cuomo and send him to another state or better yet another country which rules under communism.

Saw an ad on the tv yesterday promoting business to move to NY that could not possibly have been right. Something about no taxes on businesses that move their operations to NY?

Yes it is William...100% tax free for 10 years in NY for new business' starting up there. Check it out!

http://startup-ny.com/

Who knows what will happen after the 10 years are up. Worse...how can existing business' in NY expect to be competitive with any new business' coming into NY that seek to provide the same service or products? Like a hard slap in the face for business' that support the state with their tax $.

My sentiments exactly. I have been in business here for 32 years. Now they are encouraging more come in and compete with me with a distinct advantage over me to start up.

Worse yet is the fact we as taxpayers will have to pay increased taxes to provide services to those who are getting the break.

Maybe I'm not too bright. I can't figure out why creating 20 new jobs which may put 30 already working out of work Is such a good thing

Obviously as a business owner too, I feel your pain Lynn. NY ranks no. 2 in least tax friendly states for business with only New Jersey ahead of them so you're carrying one heck of a tax burden already compared to almost all the rest of the states. Reading between the lines sounds like they're saying...existing business' aren't welcome in NY either, unless you want to expand with a new branch of your business in a new zone. Even then though that new branch is the only one that benefits.
