Trevor
My wife and I went tonight to see Keith Urban in concert. He is a great performer and guitar player. If you ever get the chance to see him live it's well worth the price of the ticket.
wtnhunt
Yep like country music, like a variety of music. Urban has some good music, no doubt a good guitarist and performer.

Turkeygirl
Not me...it always seems to be country music is about 'my girlfriend left me', ' my dog died'. ' my truck broke down'... too whiney LOL :-p
Zizzer59
Your listening to the wrong stuff Turkeygirl! I could care less about the new stuff, but I'll jam out to Hank jr, Cash, Rodger Miller, etc.
Maine Hntr
country music tells it like it is, one of the only genres of music where you can listen to, understand and relate to a lot of the lyrics, I was an alternative/rock fan until 9/11/2001 and then Alan Jackson came out with "Remember when" and I pretty much haven't changed the channel since. It's funny because I started listening to and liking the newer country artists and still do however I find myself liking a lot of the older stuff more and more now, king George, Hank Jr., Cash, Travis Tritt etc... dbHunterNY
back in the beginning of October the wife and I went to Gulf Coast Jam while down in Panama City Beach. We saw Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert, Trace Adkins, Kip Moore, Charlie Daniels Band, Blackberry Smoke, Colt Ford, Tyler Farr, and some others. Music on the beach, main show at night, and then after hours shows at club lavela. not sure what the lineup will be this year but if anyone is close to panama city beach I highly recommend it for the weekend. Ravin R10 man
Now that's FUNNY right there !!!! ............. and OHHHHHHHHHH so true !!!!! Don....we be bloodbrothers! If I do listen to secular music....it's the oldies...60's ....70's Christian contemporary...some of it is ok...don't like the 7-11 tunes
Strut10
to each his own, what type of music are you guys listening to? Mainly anything rock with intelligent and skillful guitar. Nuge SRV Crue AC/DC Joe Walsh Maiden Eric Johnson Uli John Roth Some of the hair bands....... ........ just to name a few and I don't like ALL the stuff from of any of those named Also love me some good traditional blues as well as true bluegrass. And I even listen to a 3 hour polka show on the radio on Sundays when I get the chance. Today's "country" is just like today's boom-boom dance music and rap.............. you can listen to 10 songs in a row and the major difference between any of them is it was either a woman singing or it was a man singing. Other than that they all sound the same................ a guy with a Fender Telecaster who knows 3 chords and a singer with a half a yodel and a sad story. Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwn.........................
