Survivors

Normaly I don't get many pics of post season winter bucks, but this year I've got quite a few still hanging around. Mostly yearlings, but that's cool with me.

I think they may have gotten snowed in back in December when we got burried under 4ft of snow, and they never got the chance to leave like they usually do.

I got pics of one antlered deer that is still in velvet as of the 2'nd week of January. I'm hoping to find those fuzzy antlers once we melt out a bit.

Only one other buck really worth mentioning is a nice 10pt I call "Tubby", but I already picked up one of his horns!

Sure...got some after the MO gun season closed. We didn't work the cams like we were earlier in the season and preseason though. Still got one cam running in MO we forgot to pull so who knows what's on it. We were also seeing survivors after the gun season closed. Some of those bucks had never stepped in front of a cam.

Used to always leave my cams running year round. Down to only two working cams at this point so figured I would just pull them. Don't usually get too many pics of bucks post season anyway, so was surprised to say the least to see some that made it through hanging around. I put the one back out where the most buck activity came from.
