redkneck
I shut down both our plants today when the roads iced up. After a quarter inch of snow our infrastructure began to crumble lol. Went to a ground blind and watched a nice blizzard as the temps went to the low twenties. Pretty rare down here. Only saw one little yearling but enjoyed the white stuff. Prob get to play in it tomorrow also. Season ends Friday and temps going to 70 on Saturday But I had a good year, no horns but 4 bow does and good times with the kids

Rhino
Yea...they're not prepared to deal with this down here. The state really doesn't have the equipment to handle it. Had to drive home from south Louisiana today. Took 5 1/4 hours to make what's usually a 2 3/4 hour drive. Nothing much was done on I-55, which was iced up from south of the MS border all the way to Jackson, MS, except for putting some sand on bridges. Worst part was most drivers down here don't understand how to drive in those conditions. Lots of vehicles off the road. State troopers had their hands full with them. At least I made it home with no problems...well except for watching out and avoiding the idiots that don't know how to drive under these conditions. Al Gore, where arrrrrrrrrrrre youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ????? Hummm...consider the source Don! When he was VP he said this: "It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it.." The few times when I do something that makes me feel a bit stupid...I look at statements made by gurus like this. Then I feel like a genius.

What we'll never know...was that his idea or was he approached to be the front man for someone or some group's idea? We do know that a lot of the things he was pitching were later proved to be a twisting of the facts...to say the least.

Dunno Al and Martin, but the man capitalizes on liberals or those naive enough to believe his "facts". Seems pretty clever really.

Shaun_300
Weather has been crazy this year all over it seems. I don't remember the last winter with so many cold days. There's been a few stretches where we weren't above -10F for over a week!
