Deer blind windows

I pulled the glass out of windows (free) and made my own frames out of treated wood... they hinge inward and up, then hook onto a bungy strap screwed in the side. Only problem is the window pretty much has to be open for the shot but they are quiet.

My buddy has used the sliding plexiglass and it works well too... his slide up by attaching a string to the upper corners, then up through a loop which acts as a pulley. All you do is pull down on the string and attach to a hook.

I agree with the others that recommend hinged windows for the same reasons. Here's a site I was just checking out that gives you options. Personally I like the idea of a hinged window that folds up on the inside for gun hunting. For bowhunting obviously to either side but still hinged on the inside.

Check out your options for size, pictures, and check out their brochure.

Got tired of paying for pop-up blinds that don't last long. So I built this 6x6x6. I used plexiglass for my windows. If you look at the bottom center of the window you can barely see the white rope that goes through a pulley. A light pull and it slides open just enough to let an arrow out.
