first thoughts of my engineering mind are panic and the phrase "keep it simple stupid". however, I see what they're doing. it won't take much to get them to fly like field points still but they are a little less streamlined. seems todays broadheads are trying to go for wound channel performance versus sheer cutting diameter and this is a smart approach compared to some other newer craziness. have you seen new heads like the Tom Bomb? how are you supposed to shoot that more than once and have it fly straight? I think you've got a slightly larger cut if for some reason the blades don't deploy that may keep you from losing a blood trail. I see no reason it wouldn't punch through a thinner part of a shoulder blade too. like anything else time will tell all.

pic of it before deployment of blades;

Not sure how it will perform, sure we will find out soon enough

Notice how the head here is different than the one I have pictured above. The fixed blades are solid with slots cut in them.

Funny how they went from the super slim Hypodermic to this frankenstein.

Y'all have to remember...part of that $50 has to pay for all the excessive advertising expense they have. I'll continue to stick with my K.I.S.S. fixed blade broadheads. If it isn't broke...don't fix it! Had no issues with penetration and recovering any of the 10 deer shot with them by me and my buddies this past year. We all use the same broadhead.
