dbHunterNY
Well I just got back from a short vacation down on the gulf in Florida, not far from Tampa. Driving next to a wildlife management unit and saw a flock of Osceola longbeards. there was at least a half dozen or so.

dbHunterNY
yea it was up near Spring Hill so it was zone B or C and that season starts March 15th with a couple days of youth before that. I think it was along Rt 19. not sure if anyone on here hunts down around that area.
Rhino
Cool sighting! You thinking about returning when the season opens now? Maybe someday I'll go over there to fill out some slams. Filling slams though is not really a high priority to me. Hunting gobbling turkeys in the spring & having fun doing it is at the top of my priority list every spring no matter which subspecies it is. dbHunterNY
yea not soon Al. out of vacation time for now and I've got my first kid coming this summer so it won't be for a few years probably. with my parents having a house down there it'll make things a little easier though and probably the next subspecies on the list.
