hoytman62
Also, how would you enter to the stand? Thanks..
Zizzer59
I would put one in between the bedding area and the feeding area. Be careful though, because if you hang a stand there, you don't want a west wind. Just make sure you know what winds you can hunt the stand in. Is that a house to the left? Also, is that a road running south to the right of it? I would park by the house, come up from there to my stand on the southside of the trail. That way, a north wind would be perfect and you don't get too close to where the deer will be walking.
fly
I'd look at a topo map as well. Deer like to enter fields from low spots. Also, before I ever went to the trouble setting up stands I'd scout the area with binoculars and look for sign. Deer will change their travel patterns based on the season but I generally find they enter fields in low spots. Once you determine the most likely place the deer will enter the fields place a stand about 20 yards from the trail.
hoosierhunter
Your in Ohio so in guessing a westerly wind is the norm. Early to mid season it usually has some south in it. I'd go on the NE corner of your food depending on how far it is to that deer trail for early season. Scout and then make adjustments from there.
