Connecticut - God Bless You Folks

I was hoping to start a thread so forum members close to the Unconstitutional Gun Grabbing in Connecticut and other Northeastern States could keep us informed as to what is going on up there. I and countless others are following this closely and want to be educated with the facts.

It's so depressing its hard to talk about it. The next phase of our so-called SafeAct will be background checks on ammo and it will cost us $10-$20 everytime we want a $5 box of .22's.

One thing that is in other states favor is that your voting power is somewhat balanced. Take a look at this site. http://scopeny.org/Counties_oppose_NYSAFE.html

Look at how many counties oppose the SafeAct yet because the putrid hole of New York City and Long Island has a larger population they control us. They outnumber us about 10-1 so they get more legislators than we do AND THEY ARE ALL DEMS. Upstate New York is the red headed step child. I so wish we could secede and be our own state so the city people would stop telling us how to live. Until the cancer of NYC is amputated, from New York State, I am at the mercy of city slickers.

yup. I just hope nobody dies because of it. nobody needs to or should because of this. I'm sure there will be some sort of dispute. hopefully the door to door thing fizzles out. I'm sure they will grab some and be non-confrontational about it....

Monday morning comes and your family all leaves for school and work. Your house is cased. You just get to work and get a phone call from PD saying they've busted down your door and removed the illegal items from the permises. you're order to appear in court will be in the mail for your charges, so don't leave town. however, you should get home as your house is wide open to the public with no one around (as to continue to avoid confrontation). You get home see your door smashed in and your house turned upside down with all the damage. It's not covered under insurance because the PD was obtaining performing search and seizure of illegal contraband. Now what?

....all of it is no good as I'm sure there's stuff like murder, rape, etc. that should be consuming the PDs time and not this.

The city of Burlington passed several city "gun control" charters, I believe they consisted of locking weapons at home and some other essentially unenforceable law, State legislation is "extremely unlikely" (according to the news) to approve these charters. In extreme contrast to our NY neighbors, VT has been a Constitutional Carry State for a long time.

we have lots of heartache and fighting to do on this very subject. i wish i could say we'll win, but i really do not know. the supreme court is stacking against us, and the constitution.
