Ravin R10 man
Went ahead and named the team, don't think Joe will mind, we can always change it. Myself, I would have went with Feather Pluckers, either way we got a name.

Ravin R10 man
seen a gobbler cross the road while delivering a load of deer corn, otherwise, still too much snow for them to be out in fields
Squirrelhunter91
Nothing to report from Texas y'all. Very strange weather while I was there and critters didn't cooperate. NY opens May 1st though. I'll be out there then. Took the first 4 days of the season off plus I have an 11 day vacation later in the month. Get r done. Ravin R10 man
me too..I'd like to be done at daybreak, and get back to the corn harvest, as the snow dropped enough to get at it now. Well, here we are time to "Strut" my stuff....20 degrees clear sky, with nasty snow storm moving in by 9:a.m Time to get it done...ok so I did even with a blizzard on Wis opening day. Got up at 5 a.m. and it was 20 degrees and calm. Got ready and got out to blind by 5;30 a.m. and got settled in. at 6 a.m. I hear gobblers fire up west of me, after fly down all was silent. Every half hour or so I would offer a Hot hen yelp, as the wind was taking the calls right in the direction of the area the birds had been roosted. about 9;30 the snow storm we were expecting started in, light at first and not much wind, At 1;30 pm three hens come in and so I got real live clucking decoys, I had none out because they like to travel my trails to and from roosting area. Now the snow was heavy and 30 mph winds...at 2;30 pm out comes two jakes four hens and a gobbler, and come walking up my plot towards the other hens that are sratching and feeding. I get my gun up and ready, but he gets in with the hens and mills around for at least 15 minutes. Finally he gets off to the side, I get a good look at his head and let my 3.5" Winchester Supreme 5"s fly...down he goes and he dont even flop. 25.15 # 10.8 beard spurs both just under an inch Go Team! Congrats!!! goodluck to all the dog Lets just say..I love early season, they are still pretty predictable in their patterns I pretty much sit tight and let them come to me, early season here can be tough, we often have snow, and I have been able to make it work for me.
