Squirrelhunter91
Alright! We're on the board. 2 weeks from today I'll be in the woods. Woooo! April 26th and 27th is the youth hunt. I'll be out with a local kid upstate trying to get him his first bird. Also getting some scouting done that weekend too.

Ravin R10 man
went for a walk to check cams, it's so stinkin wet after all the rain now, I had to park the gator halfway in, and hoof it....got a gobbler here still, and saw a few hens. Ravin R10 man
took the old Yamaha 350 4x4 out to look for sheds etc. was running openings, and old cut over areas, got to some tall grass and nearly ran over a gobbler! He was hiding until I got almost on top of him...looked bigger than the one I shot...5 feet away

Squirrelhunter91
Unfortunately NY actually has a season on those stupid coyotes. I'd love to reach out and blast one with some hevi shot or an arrow but it's just no worth it if the law dog is waiting for ya when you get to the truck. Two more days of work and vacation is official. Going off the grid and into turkey killer mode.
Bowmadness2186
Heading out in the morning hoping to find that lone gobbler. Got out last Sat for a couple hours but it was raining so hard most of the time i couldnt even here myself think, let alone a turkey if there was one. this will be the last time i get out this spring unless i take time off work. Good Luck to everyone still hunting.

Scoring of the bird will be based on the NWTF scoring system which can be found at www.nwtf.org. Each contestant will be able to score one bird for the contest. You must enter your "first bird" taken for the season… Edited May 20, 2014 by Mathews XT Man
