colorado bob
Where do you zero your 22 rifle? I've sited mine dead on at 50 yards, how low is this @100 yards? My 17 HMR I've got zeroed @100 yards--does that sound right?
wtnhunt
Got my daughters 22lr sighted in at 50. Would guess the drop at 100 to be about 6 inches. No experience with the hmr.
Maine Hntr
I have a Henry lever action sighted in at 50, knocked a porcupine out at a tick over 100 last year, tried holding 4" or so high at that distance and it did the trick! dbHunterNY
I'd say that's about right.
dbHunterNY
depending on 38gr versus 40gr and how high of a velocity you're between 5.5" and 7.5" of drop at 100 yards. most of your general purpose small game 22LR is around 6-6.5" of out a standard short rimfire rifle barrel. colorado bob
I took the 17 out for a prairie dog hunt yesterday. It puts a hurt on them dawgs. I just wish my Savage had the accu-trigger. It has a heavy-bull barrel but it was before the accu-trigger came out. I missed a few with the heavy rimfire trigger.
