colorado bob
I see where NM won law suit about the number of Non-Res tags on bighorn sheep, oryx and barbery sheep. Looks like non-res will be getting fewer tags, a lot of long odds of drawing. I'm glad I got my oryx when I did.
pointing_dogs_rule
Also glad you got to hunt Oryx. I was fortunate to hunt with my cousin two years ago. Sheep odds are now ZERO for non-residents. good luck to all the dog
texastrophies
NM went from not real NR friendly to downright unfriendly to NR. Guess my hopes of getting me an Oryx are have been shot down. Unless NM comes up with a whole new system I will not be spending any more money there. It's ashame, because the I really enjoyed the couple of hunts I was able to make there. Oh well, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Utah and Nevada still look somewhat promising. Then there is always Idaho & Montana or maybe Kansas & Nebraska. colorado bob
The only hunt I put in for in NM is elk in the Gila. I bought a hunt years ago at a NWTF banquet & have not drawn the tag yet. I put my wife in for it. For Oryx----it's just about as cheap to go to TX and then add in the hunting lodge, meals, campfire against a motel & restaurant food------TX sounds better.
