jbeck
I don't know if this will be kept here or not, I played with a group I was invited to join yesterday. This group is about 30 guys that get together every Wednesday to play different courses and have matches, play a skins game. To join you must put in 10 bucks for the hole in one kitty, then it is replenished when someone gets a hole in one. Wouldn't you know it on my first day playing with these guys and I did pay my 10 bucks before going out, I hole one out on the par 3 from 135 yards with a 9 iron. My first hole in one netted me $560.00. It was AWESOME, of course I covered the bar tab for a round on me. that was $200.00 but worth it. dbHunterNY
awesome... a buddy of mine has gotten a hole in one. it's quite the accomplishment if you ask me. I don't regularly play golf but the closest I've gotten is under 2'. if you ask me I used up lots of my luck to get even that close.

Rhino
Congratulations!!! At least you had a kitty to draw from for the bar tab. That's not usually the case. I'm still looking for my 1st hole in one. Closest I've gotten is having the edge of the ball over the cup. Over the years there's been 3 guys make hole in ones in my foursome. One guy twice about 2 years apart.
Ravin R10 man
congrats on the lucky swing I have only held a CLUB once, actually hit the ball too. Game is not for me, eye injury interferes with judging distance Edited April 4, 2014 by Mathews XT Man

gzilla45
Congrats. That is awesome. I play regularly and still haven't got one. Last year in a 36 team tournament I missed my first by about an inch. My checkbook was happy it didn't go in!

Tominator
Congrats. Closest I ever got was about 2". Number 7 at Forest Hills in Elyria. It was about a 180 yard par 3. I think I used a 7 iron. The green was sloped. I flew over the flag it hit and rolled back. I made the birdie.

Shaun_300
Congrats man! That's awesome. I've gotten within a foot a couple times. Lucky you're out already, still snow on the courses here. It was above 60 today though so that's getting the golf itch going! Until I looked at the forecast and saw that there's 4 inches of snow forecasted for Tuesday. Man that is terrible, I have 15 rounds in already this year. Played 7 in Myrtle Beach 2 weeks ago and the rest here. come on down I have a spare bed, Bass are biting in the river, greens are rolling good, and the gobblers are strutting. I LOVE SPRING
Shaun_300
Lucky! I did the Myrtle Beach roadtrip last year and the year before in March. Didn't make it this year. It was 76 degrees here today, so that took care of 90% of the snow, but with snow and freezing rain in the forecast for tomorrow it was just a tease. Oh well shouldn't stay for long. Looks like it's supposed to get nice by the end of the week again. I still we got at least 2 weeks before the courses open up. If we're golfing before May 1st we're very lucky. dbHunterNY
ever since this thread I've had the urge to buy a cheap complete clubs and bag set. I've always borrowed some or rented some as I don't play much at all. might have togo to a driving range soon to shake this. lol
