I made it home safe & sound ~5:15 this afternoon. A very special thanks to you Tim for providing us the opportunity to share the turkey hunt with you. We all had a GREAT time!!! Not just the turkey hunting...great group of hunters to spend time chewing the fat with and picking at one another around the lodge. If one of those 2 surviving gobblers I left for seed calls you on my iPhone put a trace on him. A very special thanks to Adam, Mark, Jacob and the whole Hickory Creek Outfitters crew too. You all made us feel right at home...like part of the family. Plenty of birds around there. See y'all next spring. Hope the rest of your turkey hunters do as good as we did. BTW...without a doubt...from the trail cam pics you showed us, y'all have some monster mature bucks roaming around your place. Some great young bucks too with lots of wall hanger trophy potential. Weather didnt hold us down and a great pile of turkey breasts went home to all. A big thanks to Adam his family for hosting us!! Looking fwd to next year !! Doug got another gobbler------It had 4 beards, 1" spurs----main beard was 10"----Doug & I had a great time. We are coming back next year. I plan on using that brand new slate call.
