The Bug House
What a great hunt, I cannot believe the wildlife in Florida. I can't wait to do it again! Got him on the run at about 30 yards with my Savage .30-06 right through the shoulder and he dropped instantly. Not the most impressive but I'm proud of the shot considering this was my first big game kill. Saw several others, including a 300lb+ Sow. The Bug House
You got that right!! Took him right to the cutter and he packaged him up really nicely. I packed him on dry ice, which you can buy at the supermarket down there, and he remained frozen solid the whole way home. I'm defrosting ham roast as we speak, found an "Oven Baked BBQ" recipe which looks simple enough that I won't mess it up!

redkneck
Good deal bug. A boar that size gets a bit gamey and needs a little more tlc but good nonetheless. Congrats!
