I got the opportunity this past weekend to take a Scimitar-Horned Oryx. I am not going to say it was a tough hunt, but it was a good weekend. Got to spend some time with friends, good eats, pull a trigger, meat for the freezer and a mount for the wall. Also got to see a few critters I don't normally get to see.

Thanks. I agree on the cactus, very tough animal. I hit it with my .300 RUM at about 100 yards, and he ran between 2 - 300 yards before giving up. Even though my shot looks good, it turned out being to high. Their vitals are very low and forward. I agree about the snakes, but we didn't see a single one, even though we did do quite a bit of hiking around.
