VermontHunter
Well this morning was day 7 of my Turkey Hunting, I got to my blind at 4:45 am and got the decoys setup and enjoyed a cup of coffee, before what I hoped to be a action filled morning. It didn't take long for that to happen, about 5:15 am the gobblers started in with the gobbling from the roost. I give a couple tree yelps and go silent. I enjoy my coffee listening to the music the gobblers were offering for my enjoyment. Then they go silent, this has happened before, and it us...ually isn't good news for me. It usually means they already hen'd up. So I sit patiently and wait. I look at the watch attached to my vest and it says 7:00 am so I give several yelps with my friction call and BAMM !! just to my right and very close GOBBLES ( half hearted as they were because they were jakes 3 of them and coming fast ). No time to turn on the video camera, I ready the 887 and let them close the distance. I pick out the biggest jake and take the safety off, and aim for the head and pull the trigger ,,, down goes 2 jakes for the count. Yep, you read that right I nailed 2 for the price of one. So Im done until fall ,,, one weighed in at 14.5 lbs. and the other weighed in at 16 lbs. works for me and the mama is happy she's got turkey to eat. Here's the sunrise I got to enjoy ... And here's dinner ....

VermontHunter
Thanks everyone, they aren't mature birds but with the weather and time constraints ( very sick dad ) I wasn't going to be picky, and the double was a bonus. The wife was eating fresh Turkey that night, Tammy jus can't eat enough wild turkey. And we even were able to share some with a good neighbor. A good Turkey season when you can bring home some meat.
